Boyko Kanev

Oct 16. 1939 – born in Sofia.
1959 – graduated from Art School.
1966 – graduated from the Academy of Arts, majoring in sculpture.
Up until 1969, he works as an artist at „Boyana“ multiplex, at the feature films studio.
In 1966, he transfers into the animation studio: he works as a decorator, animator, animation director, artistic script-writer.
Since 1980, he makes independent animation films.

He has over 40 international awards for animation, the most prestigious among them:
